Authentic Calypso/Mento recordings from the late 40's or early 50's. Great percussion, reeds, horns and voices. The Tower Islanders were the house band of the Tower Isle hotel. Originally recorded 78's on the Topaz label, manufactured in Long Island, New York the transferred to the Fiesta label. Most tracks have Hubert Porter on vocals, some with Lord Davey. Any more info would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy this rare treasure!!!
