Meet the Mailmanis a band from Quebec City and it's members are musicians that for more than 25 years have played in many different bands, often together.
They play a powerful music, with nice melodies, dark moods, and with an intense and fast rhythm.
Style and influences:
Meet the Mailman is a Thrash Metal band with various influences: Metal from 80’s, Thrash Metal, Death Metal,Progressive Rock and Punk Rock. From those styles, bands that had the most influences for Meet the Mailman’s musicians are: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Lag Wagon, Marillion, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Propagandhi, Slayer, Testament, Therion, Tool, Type-O-Negative, Voivod
On stage:
Meet the Mailman offers on stage a blend of attitude, enthusiasm, generosity and energy to give a show that pleases as well die-hard fans as new listeners. Off stage, the are very professional, and that always pleases everyone that they have to work with. Since 2008, Meet the Mailman played often sharing the stage with: Blaze Bayley (ex: Iron Maiden), Helloween, Overkill, Anvil, 3 Inches of Blood, Goatwhore, Havok, Prong, Cliteater, Waco Jesus and many other bands.
In 2017, the band played in their first Open Air Festival at Full Terror Assault Open Air in Illinois, U.S.A. In 2018, the band toured in Europe, being part of the So Many Ways to Kill Tour with Cliteater (Holland) and Waco Jesus (USA), playing in Germany, Czech, Austria, France and England. Meet the Mailman also played at Le Festival D`Été de Québec in 2018. In 2019, the band will return in Illinois for the 5th edition of Full Terror Assault Open Air
Recordings:
In 2010, Meet the Mailman released a demo record, Demolition EP, and extract from this demo were found in Pretty Monster Tour and Trois-Rivières Metalfest 2010 compilations. During fall 2014, their first EP Knock Knock Dead, Blood Scream ’N Gore is released. On this EP, there is 6 songs recorder at Studio Broil, Quebec City, and another song previously unreleased from 2011 recording sessions. A music video, Damnation, from this EP, is released at the same time. A second one, Endless Abyss, follows a few months later. At the beginning of 2018, Meet the Mailman released their second album Then You Will Die, and a music video for the song Kill All The Gods is currently in production.
