Tao Mao (Brown Kao) was an Orange County industrial/goth/art/experimental band from 1982-1985 that was a reincarnation of Republic Of Sherpa. The members included Richard Alexander (sax, vocals), Jay Keister (bass, vocals, violin), Craig Kester (keyboards, vocals, guitar, percussion, synths), David Lex (keyboards, guitar, percussion, vocals, synths), Mark Fullerton (drums, percussion), and producer Tim Maag (The Cramps). Mark Fullerton went on to play drums for the prog/metal/punk outfit Mind Over Four.
