As the year draws to an end, and the nights continue to darken ever deeper (here in the UK anyway), we present a Dungeon Synth Sunday of a sombre, bleak, yet equally uplifting spirit.



We open this week’s journey with an exclusive advance stream of the fourth release from Croatian project Gatewatcher (originally known as Nocturnal Oath). Thematically based on the world of Magic the Gathering, this album conveys a discordant gloom through its unfolding series of meditative lo-fi dirges. A subdued companion to Luka Selman’s incarnation in the fiery, volatile blackened noise form of Ashen Chalice.



The album will be released on tape in a limited run of 40 copies. Pre-orders go live on 11th December. Digital will be available from the artist on the 10th.
