MIdnight Magic is one of the best songs that the Commodores ever released, and one of my all-time favorite Commodores songs. It's on their album which is also entitled \"Midnight Magic\". Ronald Lapread, bass guitarist for the Commodores layed down a funky slap & pop bass line which totally makes the song move. He and guitarist Thomas McClary, with his lightning rhythym licks, go head to head in parts of the song for an incredible bass guitar/lead guitar duel. Don't forget that Ronald Lapread wrote and played one of the most popular and well known bass lines in music history which is still played today by many, \"Brick House\".
