One of the most slept on 70s soul gems I can think of. Semi-major label release, killer voice, tight compositions, wild beats and fills. And yet, Ed Wahonka's one and only LP stays forgotten. Wahonka, according to the liner notes, was a Shoshone Indian from New Jersey who had love and lost it thanks to some (presumably racist) parents. The whole record bleeds and bursts with the type of lovelorn intensity only a broken-up-with 20-something could muster, and it's a blast.
