This beautiful track is the B-side to Tim's single \"Where Are You?\" Tim plays and sings everything you hear on this recording. It's classic loner folk-rock, written and sung about lost love in the teen angst tradition.
In high school in Pontiac (now Waterford), Michigan, Tim McKenna met classmate Eric Wrobbel, who, at 15, had founded Distortion Records and released several records under his own name and also with the Moonshine Forestry Outfit. Agreement was made between them to release a single on Tim on the Distortion label. This song was recorded in four tracks March 30 and 31, 1971. The first track was rhythm guitar and lead vocal, the second was organ. The big sound on these tracks is due to the fact that they were recorded (late at night) in a large, empty church. These tracks were followed by track three (2nd guitar and vocal) and track four (lead guitar and another vocal) recorded at Distortion Sound Studios the following day.
YOU MEAN SO MUCH TO ME (Tim McKenna, Wrobbel's Music Pub.), from the 45 rpm single (Distortion DS45-012-B). Produced by Eric Wrobbel. This recording was digitized from the original master tape in 2015 under the supervision of Mr. Wrobbel.
