Barry Palmer: 'Getaway' - Extremely Rare (1973) 45rpm released single.

This song was Barry Palmer's second released vinyl 45rpm, which was released way back in 1973, under the name of 'Barry Joe Palmer'
Few people will have heard this very rare track. Typical unique sound of an early Barry Palmer track.

A side - Getaway
B side - Groovy Mover
A 'Cliff Brittle' Music Production.

This track was released some 39 years ago, not long after Barry's very first ever single release 'Always' was also released under the same name also in 1973. This was at what was the very start of Barry Palmer's long 40 year career in the music business.

It was released at least a year before 'The Bump' was recorded and released in 1974 with Barry Palmer singing under the Pseudonym of 'Kenny' and a couple of years before Barry joined The German Prog Rock Super Group 'Triumvirat' as their lead singer in 1975.

One can hear that the arrangement and production of this track 'Getaway' was clearly greatly influenced by the glam rock music of that time and it is therefore somewhat similar to tracks then produced and released by artists such as Marc Bolan / T. Rex. and other similar rock bands of that era.

Visit Barry's web site to read a full history of his long career and listen to both many previously released single and album tracks as well as new tracks from his imminently released new single and album, 'Night Thoughts' which is due out on general release on the 17th September 2012.

Tracks to look out for on this album include his new single 'Innocent' as well as his next intended follow up single, 'Here It Comes Again' Absolutely superb and well worth a listen.
