Hifi Sean follows up his Defected release ‘Testify’ featuring Crystal Waters with ‘The Music’ alongside another vocal powerhouse on sister label Classic Music Company. Setting out to make a great house record, Sean jumped on a plane to house mecca Chicago for inspiration. Working with an ex-TRAX Records engineer, they got the incredible Celeda (who sang on Danny Tenaglia’s perennial ‘Music Is The Answer’) to lend her timeless voice. Sounding like James Brown made a Chicago house record with Vogue string stabs and some gospel stomps in the mix, “‘The Music’ is basically a celebration of that feeling you get when you hear a great record on the dancefloor…” says Sean, “…and how it takes you over. That first time you hear it will always stay in your memory”.
