In the year of 2003, João Do Coco conceived his most adventurous project so far. In what it is to be considered his masterpiece, Mr. Do Coco released the double album \"O Clarão da Janela\", divided in two volumes. For this album, Mr. Do Coco parted ways with the producer of his previous album, (2002's Uma Flor da Vida) Mr. Joel Santana (not the Soccer Coach) and like many artists looking forward to achieving true musical enlightenment, decided to produce the record by himself. Recorded in 2003, in the \"Icaro Home Studio\" studios in the neighbourhood of Little Stone - East Side of São Paulo, Mr. Do Coco tried to capture the true essence of Brazilian Modal Folk, which is a musical genre deeply rooted in the Brazilian \"Detuned Cheap Guitar\" philosophy. For the job of putting the record together, Mr. Do Coco enlisted the help of Johnny, his nephew, which plays guitar, accompanying his uncle - which sings and plays \"Brazilian Viola\". Released to much critical acclaim, this album consolidated Mr. Do Coco's view of the Brazilian Modal Music philosophy.
