The concept for this album came from a list made by Syd Vicious of what he most liked about his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. Under that premise we developed 12 (+1) original themes in the form of a soundtrack for an imaginary movie full of drama, action and suspense.
The Nancy Spungen X is a rollercoaster of rock'n'roll, a surfabilly-ska-garage-jazz-ish-fusion rock that fits the soundtrack of a psychedelic cartoon adventures. Fun and powerfull, enigmatic and reckless, TNSX is an outstanding sonic experience.
TNSX currently consists of 7 elements, Moca on guitar, Moreira on drums, Mário on saxophone, Rita on bass, Igor on synths, Nelito on special effects and Vagaroso on percussions.
“What makes Nancy so great” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Márcio Décio at Bug Studio in 2019 at Braga that also plays solo guitar in themes 1 and 3.
The artwork is a fusion of the ilustrations by Carlos Martins with the graphic art by Filipe Martins.
