prolonged socio-political silence is endorsement


I was going to leave this section blank, I often do small biographies under my covers but I didn't feel this song needed to be about me. However, the response this video got very much upset me. The consensus I've seen on social media is that this song was created as some Maty Healy \"clout chasing\" vibe to get money or praise.
This is not true. I uploaded this song without monetisation after seeing footage of the clashes between protestors and police in Minneapolis and was instantly harked back to some of my favourite anti-establishment protest music. I wanted to make a song to vent, similar to how I did my \"Whole Lotta Loving\" song after seeing the shocking behaviour UKIP display in the EU parliamentary meetings.
This was never about me. None of my covers are about me, I purposefully frame the camera as far off my face as is comfortable for me to sit and I hope if you think this was a cry for attention or not a responsible use of my platform I can earn your forgiveness in the future with my actions.

If an agent of your government ever tries to block your rights, tell him to go and fuck himself.
