Well hopefully everyone's getting used to some really different content here! As with my Foo Fighters, Green Day, and Fleetwood Mac covers, I've been trying to put together optimized but still HQ and fun stream of works for you all based on music I grew up loving. Rocket Man and much of Elton John's brilliant works have been a huge part of my young life and as I learned more about the kind of music I liked playing, I've gotten really inspired to work on a few of his songs. One of my favorites to practice both piano and singing to is Rocket Man, a song that really plays with that 1960s/1970s fascination with space travel. Naturally the William Shatner version inspired my attire, but I definitely can't pull off the baseball costume..
Other fun facts for this project, I played 100% of what you hear! I played the e-drums, the piano, guitars, bass, and of course full vocals and really wanted to get a lively classic recording sound that comes from practiced smooth parts in full takes. I know I didn't change very much about this arrangement, but part of the fun and love of music for me is just working on what was created. Hopefully you enjoy the 70s videotape look and setup here as well, since that was a bit new to my room! I used one LED light above me and my Aputure accent lights here to get a bit of color, while emphasizing that contrast in the back!
OH and this month I'll be putting out some SUPER heavy Hades covers, an indie rock cover, and mixing my upcoming original prog-metal album so fear not if you're not digging the more 1:1 rock stuff.
I'm Ro P. and I make progressive-rock music, covers, and more! If you like crazy riffs, diverse rockin' tunes, or video games you should check out my channel!
