This video is rather old and I overlooked several important things in it. Fortunately, there's a follow up video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMUCfuraego&t=364s
where I address some of that stuff, and my newer content is better researched.
Thanks for watching!
Original description:
5/4 and 7/8 and 11/8 are good fun, but what about changing that bottom number to something other than a power of 2?
It's called an irrational time signature in this case, such as 5/7 or 14/15. These are very rare, and in searching \"weird time signatures\" on google images I found nothing with them. These are especially strange because they shouldn't really even be possible, but in this video I'll explore how to write in these time signatures, and how to play in them.
PS: I made the custom metronome in a 110 bpm project, meaning I had to multiply that bpm by 4/3.75 to get the bpm of the actual song, which is why it is 117.333. The fact that it was like this, however, made it impossible to quantize notes :P

I'll be releasing a new album in a few months, but I have three albums out right now: \"Branching\", \"Gold and Silver\", and \"Comeback\".
Comeback and Gold and Silver were fairly formative projects, made with just a digital keyboard and an iPad respectively.
Branching was also made on an iPad, but the new album will be produced with professional software :)
