▼ THE STORY ▼



“Theronation is a compound word created by us and consisting of the words Thero (pronounced The(e)ro or Théro) and Nation. Inspired from the Greek mythology, the title of the album relates to the story of the Naiad nymph Theero, who raised the God of War; Ares. A symbol of peace and beauty (a nymph) nurturing War, something that closely describes what happens in our album.



Adding to the above, the choice of pronunciation is important: When pronounced as Théro(nation) it is a honorific term for bhikkhus and bhikkhunis (Buddhist monks and nuns) in the Buddhist monastic order, representing “Spirituality”. If pronounced as Theero it means “Beast” – relating to “Ferocity”.



The whole album is a battle of balance between a Spiritual or Beastly Nation – our Good and Evil selves.”
