\"John Krasinski\" is a collection of songs that I wrote, recorded, and mixed/mastered over the span of 5 months, September 2020 - January 2021. While I would hope these songs speak to you in whatever way is most meaningful, to me these songs are about approaching and embracing a future that you had never planned or prepared for, coping and adapting to the change, and eventually accepting the new path in life.
I was raised in a high-demand, orthodox religion that effectively built my framework for life over the 18 years that I believed and practiced. My entire paradigm was built upon the tenets of my faith, and reinforced every day through constant ritual and study. When I went through a faith crisis at age 18, I not only lost my faith but also my entire worldview - and at a time where I also was trying to simply navigate the complexities of being an adult. Today, I am still in the process of reconstructing that part of me that died 5 years ago - but I have learned so much. Peace & love, Jacob
