\"This album was recorded in six sessions from February to May 1970 at Pacific High in San Francisco. It was financed by a gift, so please keep it clear of the market-plac. Pass it on to a friend and keep music free.

The Ghost Opera appeared when musicians began using theater games to teach each other to improvise together. At first we were a quartet in Chicago, but after five years we have become an amorphous Company in San Francisco. Every time we meet to play we become actors in our unwritten opera, and that is our musical structure. We hang loosely about the San Francisco Conservatory of Music which supports a healthy improvisational curriculum.\"
