Them is my favorite King Diamond album, but it is also the album that I think has the worst production. For years I waited for the band to do something about it, but it was never done (the remaster launched in the 90s is not a good one), so I decided to act in order to be able to listen to this great masterpiece in a way that pleases me more.
I'm the keyboardist for the bands Insane Devotion, Nahtaivel and Great Vast Forest. I also record keyboards for various Brazilian extreme metal bands and have worked with some underground Industrial music projects from other countries. I am also an amateur producer, doing mixes and mastering for my projects.
For this remastering I used my American CD copy that I bought in the 90s (Roadrunner RR 9550-2). I did it mainly for personal satisfaction, so the adjustments and equalizations were designed to sound good on my equipment, on other equipment it is quite capable of sounding like shit.
In no way do I want to say that this version is better than the original, but it is better for my personal taste, hopefully you can have a better experience too.
I don't want to profit from this version, if it's a problem I can delete this video.
