Continuing futher back in Ireland's troubled history from the story told in Elle Marie's other single Brave Ireland, Ellis Island conveys the struggles of emigration, of a young couple searching for a new life in the promised land during troubled times in Ireland. Tragedy strikes and their story does not turn out as planned.

Elle Marie's third album is set for release this August.
