Charlie Babbitt (Cruise) introduces his autistic brother Raymond (Hoffman or Rain Man of the title) to Blackjack...

Raymond has a penchant for counting cards and the couple quickly win $86,000 in one sitting. Watching over them, the Casino Surveillance team can't quite work out how they did it - commenting at one point that it was impossible to count a 6 deck shoe - go figure!!

Either way, the film cleaned up at the Oscars - including best screenplay.
