Chris Rea - Three Little Green Candles, B-Side from 1994 UK 3-track CD single \"You Can Go Your Own Way\" released from the brilliant Best Of album, including Ruby Blue and Three Little Green Candles.

Guitars, drum, racing cars, three green candles for good fortune and a great friendship between music gentlemen !

Eddie Jordan is a big mate of Chris Rea and a lifelong friend. \"I recorded a few tracks with Chris and I still love rock. It's almost as exciting as seeing my cars start. \"Eddie says...

There's an interesting, bizarre story associated with this song, which Eddie Jordan narrates in his autobiography:

--A well-known musician had been interviewed on The Late Late Show, Ireland's premier talk show on a Saturday evening.
In the middle of the conversation, this person took out three green candles and lit them.
This confused everyone, not least, the programme host, Pat Kenny who felt obliged to say, 'We're going off the script here! Please tell me what are you doing and what's the significance?
The musician replied, 'Quite a long way from here, I have a belief that the Jordan team will score their first ever podium, which will be the first time that an Irish-entered car has done this in Formula 1.' Next day the prediction came true.
When I arrived back on the Monday morning (I had managed to get the midnight flight from Hong Kong), I went to the factory bright and early and walked into reception to find that a half bottle of champagne had been placed on each of the large tiles on the granite floor. When I counted the bottles, they matched the number of stuff exactly- plus there was a magnum for me. The musician had come back from Ireland and visited the factory the previous evening. He had laid out the champagne and left an instruction that three candles, placed in a box in the centre of the floor, were to be lit when I returned. Then he sent me a fax with a poem. It was signed Chris Rea. I should have known!Chris was a great friend of the team and he wanted to share our good fortune in what could best be described as a highly unorthodox manner.--
