'Normil Hawaiians' were an experimental post-punk / psychedelic band that formed in Orpington, Kent UK in 1979. They were an ever-changing collective based around guitarist/vocalist Guy Smith. They released 3 singles and released 2 albums. A 3rd album which was recorded in 1985 remained unreleased until 2013. The earlier recordings mixed Post-Punk with an anarchic Funk edge, later works lost the Funk and became ever more experimental and Psychedelic with exploratory improvisations and strange recordings. The band split in 1986.
Line-up on these particular recordings were Guy Smith, Jim Lusted & Kevin Armstrong.
Guy Smith is now a Juggler and teacher of Circus Skills at Circusdayze.
Jim Lusted went on to mix records for 'Alien Sex Fiend' amongst others.
Kevin Armstrong went on to become a well known producer and, amongst many other things, also played guitar on the 3rd album by 'The Passions'.
