Ernestine Anderson - K.C. Lover (Black & White 863 B)

Playing Next: Cryer - The Single
Random Page  /  Random Song

Recording from 1947. Flip side is ''Good Lovin' Babe''
She's backed by Shifty Henrys Orchestra, which includes William K. Hadnott (Bass), Willard McDaniel (Piano), Jack Trainor (Trumpet), Oscar Bradley (Drums) and Hubert M. Myers (Sax).

Ernestine Anderson really hit her stride in 1959 when her releases with Mercury Records started getting her some deserved attention. But she had been making records for over a decade before that, but nobody seems to have noticed. On these early sides for Black & White Records, she sounds even more R&B-ish than on her later stuff, where shes more of a Dinah Washington type.
