I was actually on vacation, and not a storm chase vacation when I shot this video. Little did I know that after a long day of fun and sun that I'd capture some great lightning. I was hoping that we'd see a good thunderstorm while I was there, and my prayers were certainly answered! The first part of this video was shot from the 12th floor balcony of our hotel (The Coral Beach Resort). The view was looking towards the northwest as the storms approached Myrtle Beach. The second part was shot from the beach looking eastward as the storms moved out over the ocean waters.
