The song was written for Fats Domino by one of his fans, Bobby Charles in just 15 minutes. It went on to sell over 2 million copies. The string section was provided by the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra (unusual for a Domino record), the arrangement for which was done in 10 minutes by trombonist Milton Bush for just $10 ($1 per minute).
This is the original HIT MONO MIX released on Imperial 5675 when this was a HUGE hit on AM Top 40 radio stations in the summer of '60.
