As a callow youth, I used to know a risqué parody of this song, but never realised that it was a parody of an existing song.
I found these lyrics on the site of music hall songs I am looking at, discovering that the song was written and composed by R.P. Weston and Bert Lee in 1930 and performed by Billy Bennett.
