The 14-piece \"big\" band of the late Joe Roccisano covers Steely Dan's \"Throw Back the Little Ones\", originally on their \"Katy Lied\" album. Featured: Joe Roccisano on soprano sax, Greg Gisbert on trumpet, and a very complex, inspired and soulful alto sax solo by Lou Marini. Taken from the Joe Roccisano Orchestra CD \"Leave Your Mind Behind\", released in 1995. In 2009, Donald Fagen was interviewed by Devon Wendell, who asked him: \"What's your all time favorite Steely Dan cover by a jazz artist?\" Fagen's response: \"I still like one of the first -- \"Do It Again\" by Herbie Mann. Also, Joe Roccisano did some nice charts where he just used the tune as a jump off point. That's the best way to go.\"
