ALBUM: The Aftermath

RELEASE DATE: September 14th, 2019



'The Aftermath' is Matthew Spencer's 3rd album and first concept record. The album serves as a callback and spiritual sequel to Fire Rising's 'The War', including many electronic elements integrated in a way not seen since Fire Rising. The album also continues down the path of Decay, including songs that are very string-driven in nature, and even calls back to The Fortified Heart in its diverse soundscape. The album features many of Spencer's heaviest songs yet while also including softer, more melodic tracks such as 'Dark Twisted World'. Elements of trance and pop can also be found within the record, with tracks such as 'End Your Misery' showcasing the prominence of electronica. With such a diverse sound and interesting concept, the album is sure to have something for everybody.
