Elvis Presley - Mean Woman Blues - Movie version - Re-edited with RCA/Sony audio

Playing Next: Kurtis Blow - Christmas Rapping (live on TOTP jan'80)

Another video that I've given a couple of tweaks to.

One of the most iconic moments in Elvis' 1957 movie \"Loving You\" is the scene in the diner where Elvis' character Deke Rivers is recognised and encouraged to sing for the adoring clientele. This cues a timeless piece of rock 'n' roll footage where after some trepidation Rivers puts a coin in the jukebox and proceeds to dance and swivel through \"Mean Woman Blues\" before the triumphant main character gets into the customary Elvis movie brawl.
The soundtrack recording session produced different parts of \"Mean Woman Blues\". Another may have been recorded on 15 January 1957 but no recording of the song from this date exists. Lateral thinking suggests that the song was planned to be recorded on this day but some sort of mitigating circumstances prevented the recording from taking place.
The record version was recorded on 13 January at Radio Recorders Studio one in Hollywood and the master was chosen from take fourteen, the final take. On 21 January the beginning and ending of the movie version was recorded at Paramount's sound stage and added to the record version later that evening.
Although the audio in the video is improved with the re-editing, it seems to lose something without the screaming girls and incessant clapping throughout.
As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
