Somali Yacht Club is a stoner rock trio from Lviv, Ukraine. The band mixes elements of stoner rock, psychedelic rock, shoegazing and post-metal in their music. Formed in 2010, as a jam band, but evolved to a main band for it's members.
The Sea is the full length album from SYC. This album evokes the feeling that you're on an a ship crossing the vastness of The Sea. For a time, the waters are calm and peaceful, until you see the storm front on the horizon and the winds, swells, and tempos pick up and take you for a ride. It has the Shoegazy Stoner Prog Rock sound that made The Sun so unique, but their songwriting and musicianship has grown superior.
