The Collectors-Looking At A Baby 1967-1968

Playing Next: King Curtis - Memphis Soul Stew
Random Page  /  Random Song

This Vancouver BC group became the supergroup Chilliwack after a string of successful hits north of the border. This single originally relased in 1967 was picked up by Valiant records in the US at the same time they had The Association under the same label and re-released in 68. It did not fair well in the US although it did crack the top 100 and in Canada it reached #23. The follow up Fisherwoman faired even better in Canada. See a similarity in their sound and The Association's. Bill Henderson the leader of all 3 incarnations of this group (they were the C-Fun Classics then The Classics in 61) has been the focus of a drive to get him into the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Enjoy!
