Whoracle from 1997 is the third full-length release by the notorious Gothenburg melodeath/alt band In Flames and second with vocalist Anders Fridén, following the classic The Jester Race with a more accessible approach, followed by the more experimental Colony. It's a concept album about humanity's rise to self-destruction. While not elevated to the status the predecessor has, this album certainly beared a massive influence on melodic metal bands of today.
Numerous editions have been issued. The latest 2014 version (along with the rest of the band's back catalogue) is a special edition digipak with two additional live tracks, also available on 180gr black vinyl without bonuses.
