Here is a very rare and hard to find gem that appeared briefly on the “new music” scene back in 1986, the debut album by ‘Horizont’ a German duo comprised of musicians Hans Günter Wagener and Klaus Löhmer. This duo had a very distinctive style to their music, “floating” and spacious, not over done, yet very listener friendly with moving and evocative melodies and sounds. This is one of two albums they put out, my personal favorite being their second from 1988 ‘White Clouds’ featuring British guitarist John Parsons. I shared “St. Tropez Highway” from that one a while back, and highly recommend it!! Both albums featured some airplay on 94Q during 1986-1988 before they dropped off the face of the earth and were almost forgotten about. Both are extremely rare and hard to find even online.
