Elvis Presley - I'll Be Back - Movie Version - Re-edited with RCA/Sony audio

Playing Next: Tryin Times (Original Mix)
Random Page  /  Random Song

Elvis' mid to late sixties movies soundtracks have a tendency to be collectively seen as poor and whilst this is true in places there are some individual gems within that body of work, but one soundtrack does stick out as being a notable exception, that from his 1966 movie, Spinout. True, the movie does contain the often derided \"Beach Shack\" but this particular track should be kept in it's context of just a song that works only in the movie itself.
The movie conclusion plays out to the lively \"I'll Be Back\" and even the recording of the song itself is lending itself to being for insertion in the movie as there is no real ending to the studio master which allows for the additional instrumentation and the final \"I'll Be Back\" spliced onto the end.
Elvis recorded the song at Radio Recorders' Studio B in Hollywood on 17 February 1966 and was the last of nine songs recorded over two consecutive days of recordings specifically for the movie soundtrack with Elvis finishing this final track in just a single take. The drum intro and ending and the additional instrumentation were added for insertion into the movie on 29 March 1966

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
