First released on the album Hawaiian Sunset ,1959 on HiFi Records ( SR 807 for the US and R 807 for Canada - the Canadian version was mono ) .
After playing with Martin Denny , Lyman formed his own band called The Gadabouts . They played the then popular cool jazz style ,alternating by more and more of Arthurs own exotic arrangments of existing songs .
Lyman always was influenced by Jazzmusic , especially by the famous George Shearing combo , who also had a vibraphone player in the band . ( check it out on YT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B_o_ecLoN0 ) .
The Jazzy sound alway's appeared in Lyman's later music .
This particular track here ( written by the famous Charles E. King ) sounds rather more jazzy than exotic , due to the main piano sound ( played by Alan Soares ) .
