and so with scant rehearsal time at the local hourly, we convened once more to play a scarcely attended winter show with out-of-towners tooth and the fang and bad luck woman and her misfortunes. it's no big secret that keeping a musical project going is incredibly tough for adults in this era - at this point we can say with reasonable certainty that the live band experiment has halted for the foreseeable. this turned out to be the last show of the era, but fortunately we decided to engineer a somewhat better than totally rough-and-tumble recording of it. so, on the off chance that anyone wonders what it was like, you're in luck!

performers: carson/debaie/mcneil/nunes/pelley. all songs by contemporary recorder music, except \"bennington\" by john maus. recorded live at menz & mollyz in halifax, ns on december 2nd 2017.

live sound by gary peacock. stereo field recording + mono board feed, mix/master prepared by mike nunes.

special thanks to gary, menz & mollyz, tooth and the fang, bad luck woman and her misfortunes, gottijam, $r4d$, and the halifax weirdo music community for putting up with our raggedy butts.

we dedicate this album to cats. all cats.
