Self-released in 2020, and now given a tape release through Fólkvangr, Somnifer is the debut album from Polish two-piece Mistral.
The minimalist song titles juxtapose with the maximal wide-screen post-black sound the duo have created, and it’s a sound which does justice to their goals of connecting with their emotions, repressed fears, guilt, and anguish.
