I heard Age of Empires II HD has a competitive scene.. Here's Tazer from the strategy classic Age of Empires II!
As nearly nobody remembers, my very first VGM cover is in fact the theme to this strategy PC game, Age of Empires! Tazer is one of the most exciting and signature tunes to me as it takes on this exciting, arguably Celtic, rising theme as you crush Edward Longshanks castles and keep exploring your map! My AOE2 medley from 4 years ago is also my most viewed VGM video to date, despite its god-awful awfulness, and that's no way to treat one of my favorite titles! I decided to make a quick cover to remedy that, and maybe if you play Age of Empires 2 competitively this can be your new anthem!
Musically, I went for a very obvious ambient-meets-guitar using my nylon for some nice breaks! I always associate this song with the opening cutscene, where two kings play Chess and it crosses back to some low-quality armies fighting each other. I'm doing my absolute best to mix these songs better and better, and I know once I'm \"there\" we'll get into some serious stuff! This cover also took about 3-4 days of work, a measurement I've noted the community is concerned with ;)
