Andrew McCalla's review from the July Issue of \"Dont Look\":
Johnny's World is a musical presented by the St. John Catholic Youth Organization from '67 or '68 (I'm no't sure!). Performed by the teenagers who attended St. John's Parish; only a few other Memphis singles that I've come across are in same realm. The record opens with the theme song \"Johnny's World'; it immediately makes you feel weird. The musical is about a kid who does drugs aplenty and lives within his own world. The record has random Top 40 covers of the era. Obviously recorded in a gymnasium or auditorium with a few scarce mics, performed by amateur musicians, it is the strangest Memphis LP I own.
