WAZU - Robobo (2012 Anti-Language Recordings no catalog #) first and only release from this Australian duo, originally known as The Captain's Package (and releasing only one EP under that name in 2005) and now currently VOWWS (two full lengths in 2015 and 2018). This particular album is, I feel, a tribute to classic synthpop but with a slight industrial edge to it. Everything from the sound of the record, to the the band name (WAZU / Yazoo? eh?) to the art deco inspired cover art... Just fantastic. The male vocalist has a real Martin Gore-quality to his voice. In short I love this album and you will too.
