Here's my second cover in the Persona series which a few people were requesting, and I DEFINITELY see why you guys were requesting this one!
The original boss theme for p2 has this super rad trance vibe with a pulsing rhythm section that translates perfectly into metal. The melodies also have a really sick vibe to them that even includes a shreddy guitar solo that I couldn't resist learning a few licks from!
The challenge I faced for this cover was maintaining it's super hard hitting and driving rhythm while simultaneously having a bit more dynamics in the piece and giving it a sick metal vibe. I came up with a few drum beats and I also stuck to a beat that is super similar to the original's. They definitely had that beat in there for a reason!
I also switched up a LOT of the rhythm parts on the guitar. While my parts were ultimately pretty simple to play, I love how crushing they ended up sounding.
Overall I had a blast working on this cover and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
The original \"Boss Battle\" theme from the game \"Persona 2: Innocent Sin\" was composed by Toshiko Tasaki, Kenichi Tsuchiya, and Masaki Kurokawa
