Missing Links - I Cried Goodbye

Playing Next: Take My Love Brother To Brother 1976
Random Page  /  Random Song

Roscoe 418 - Los Angeles CA USA 1966. One of many Missing Links in the 60's, including overseas. And a few of 'em are damn good too. Like this majestic weeper from the west coast. These guys allegedly had Mickey Dolenz (Monkees) in the band for a while but does not appear here(*). Band honcho Danny De Lacy has had a long career in music and is still rockin'. He left for Australia to become a member of the Loved Ones. Larry Duncan did some work for Motown later.
Danny De Lacy, Larry Duncan, Jim Stanley, Mike Swain(**)

* Andrew Sandoval’s The Monkees: Day-By-Day:

1964: Micky transfers from Valley Junior college to Los Angeles Trade Tech, while musically he fronts a five-piece group known as The Missing Links. They make some recordings for the Rosco and Deville labels, though none including Micky. In addition to Micky, the group consists of Danny Delacy (later a member of Australia’s The Loved Ones), Jim Stanley, Larry Duncan, and Mike Swain. For at least one gig the band is billed as Micky & The One Nighters. Micky reportedly performs for several weeks with singer Eddie Hodges at The Sugar Shack Club in Denver, Colorado, and it is also reported that The Missing Links play at Denver’s La Pitcher.

** Bomp mag no 15 Winter 76-77 claims that this is Mickey Dolenz under a pseudonym and was the lead singer(!)
