Diehard Progressive House fans are all familiar with AudioStorm who has appeared on a long list of cutting edge labels like System Recordings and Sleepless Night Recordings. Double Needle Project may be a new name though. With just two releases on Balkan Connection South America and Breaking Barriers, Double Needle Project is just starting to get known for his deep progressive sound. Here he teams up with AudioStorm for their first collaboration entitled ‘Morphine’ which includes remixes from Fernando Ferreyra and Robert R. Hardy.
The latest release on Deersky’s Soundteller Records features a fresh collaboration from AudioStorm and Double Needle Project.
AudioStorm & Double Needle Project
The deep grooves which Double Needle Project displayed on his previous tracks have melded with AudioStorm’s cool progressive sound. ‘Morphine’ comes with a warm, full and well shaped foundation which the dancing percussion accents it perfectly. There are a few motifs running through this; the panning piano keys are definitely a focal point but the blissful pads are also quite memorable and highly emotive. With elements like these it’s easy for a track to lose its club appeal but the strength of the groove more than keeps it intact here. Great stuff from AudioStorm and Double Needle Project.
