Written by Frank and Moon Zappa. Arranged and produced by Frank Zappa.
A gentleman who began his hit recording career in 1966 as a member of the Mothers Of Invention, whose LP, Freak Out! charted on Verve Records.
Segue to 1982 and Frank released the album, Ship Arriving Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch, which charted at #23. It was Franks 31st album to grace the album charts and one of his highest placed. Valley Girl was released as a 45 from this album and reached #32 on the Hot-100, giving Frank his biggest hit single.
Franks daughter, Moon is also featured on the track with an excellent take off of the speech styles used by teenagers in the San Fernando Valley, north of Los Angeles.
