This is a project I've been working in and out on since late November. It's an album I've made. Songs contain music purely from my keyboard, and edited to Windows Movie Maker, making this having a charm of being minimalistic, and maybe, thought to be quite well done, with some parts have been overlayerd more than 10 times. This, and WMM being a bugger freezing frequently. Parts of songs fro music has been used;
Start of The Unforgettable Fire - U2
WorryWort - Radiohead
End of Because (LOVE Remix) - The Beatles
Names of songs and their times;
00:00 - Introduction
1:38 - Clockwork Panic
5:24 - Very Sweet Suite (Parts 1-5)
11:07 - The Wonders Of Life (Brings Plenty Of Good)
15:37 - In The Morning
17:41 - She Smiled As A Child, She Frowned As She Drowned
22:59 - Very Sweet Suite (Parts 6-10)
30:12 - The End
The cover art was made outside my garden, assorted with things that have been throughout my childhood, the effects were made on Photoshop.
A second album is planned, and will be started in a few months time.
If you're reading this, appreciate the fact that this has been something not taking too seriously, and if you enjoyed it, I thank you.
If wanting a rating for my album from myself, I'll give scores, with no biaisn, and thought through a mind of a genreal viewer
Introduction - 8/10. I believe it is a sum up of what to expect in the album. With starting a recording of a classic piece played at a faster RPM on my record player, gets the right vibe. The keyboard was OK to. Not too much to expect for 1 and a half minutes. Has a a simple beat made to.
Clockwork Panic - 9/10 I really do think this a strong song. I find the beats, guitars, synths, well it feels like a completed song for me. 2nd favourite. Has natural music taken from a YT video of a forest. All beats were made and sped up. The keyboard was overalyerd twice to make it a faster tempo, and was also sped up. Also has a scene from Ren And Stimpy - Insomnia.
Sweet Sweet #1 - 8.5/10 Was the first ever song made for me. i really can't get out've the zone of me making it, so it has memories for me, which is biased. It's still enjoyable, although edited quite a bit from it's original recording. Interview with Jimi Hendrix, famous Churchill speech, drums, keyboard, toybox, noise from a fight on SSBB, organ, bass by me. The part of me talking was taken from a song I made which I didn't think was too good.
The Wonders Of Life - 9/10 - The fact of me laying out some pretty good lyrics, and dat relaxing bit...(if it wasn't recorded so loud that it has an extra noise bit going on, would've been a highlight) Drums, synth, violin, flute(o), cello and vocals by me. Has birds tweeting, some on YT, some made when on a walk.
Downer is that the beat is a tad choppy, but hey, can't help that.
In The Morning - 8.4/10 - Me singing.... I'm not gonna vouch for myself here. The guitar and organ is something I like though.
She Smiled blah blah - 9.3/10 - Honestly, the best song. It's the one that took the longest, and I myself enjoy listening to it. I'm near on perfectly happy with it, just the piano bit is a tiny bit long. Has guitar, bongo's, and a hell of a lot other stuff.
Sweet Suite #2 - 7.6/10 - Longest song. Has some great bits, and some meh bits. I'm A-OK with it mind you. Has a bit of the Gorillaz song Spitting Out The Demons, backwards, and forwards.
The End - 8.4/10 - Has quotes from Scent Of A Woman, and a bit off of the I Have A Dream Speech by Martin Luther. I really like the ending. Very spacey.
