Thought myself lucky to have found this British Noble Sissle recording from the late '20s. The fact that he has signed the record made me feel fortunate indeed.
\"I'm coming Virginia\" is a jazz standard performed by many of the top artists of the day. Makes something of a change for it to be a British recording. Sissle's 'special orchestra' is his own band with Harry Revel, piano (later to become part of Gordon and Revel, noted songwriters).
Recorded 29th March 1928.
