This lyric arrangement of Memories of Green () features Patti Rudisill (violin) and Soundole (clarinet) and is the first track on my album Between Earth and Sky. Both soloists are fantastic arrangers themselves - please go show them some love (links below). This track is the first instance of music in a video game that made me stop playing just to listen on repeat. I was already floored by the main theme when I heard it for the first time and loved how Mitsuda took the same melody, slowed it down, and underscored with such delicate arpeggiation. I wanted to recreate the delicacy and intimacy but also wanted to track to expand outwards in the third section to foreshadow the events in the rest of the game.
