Part 2 is when things start to go VERY wrong. The songs are more distorted and diminished. Memories are a lot harder to recall, seizures and hallucinations are more common, and speech and sight are becoming challenges. Things take a dark turn in the second half of the album, when the decline is very noticeable. There's no way to ever get back.
