Welcome to another edition of Dungeon Synth Sunday; our regular weekly expedition into worlds adjacent to black metal, featuring new releases from genres related to our ORDER CULT sister group, such as the eponymous dungeon synth, dark ambient, and other ritualised and occult forms of electronics.
We open this week with an exclusive full stream of the debut release from Eclipsed Moon Apparitions; the latest project from the artist behind Amargor.
A harmonious melding of rawness and possessed trance. Like a nightmarish, sickly Wurlitzer, the organ-rich synth tones coil and curdle in similar fashion to the dread rural occultism of Degredo; brown-acid black metal guitars corrupted with a deeply rusted dark ambient, seeping from the veins of bands like Grollfried, Midnight Betrothed and Corneus; the atmosphere charged with an unsettling presence, of old disturbed souls in tangible form.
The album will be released through Chasm of Old Necromancy soon. Keep an eye on their websites for details of the tape.
