Sidney Charles returns to AVOTRE with 'Cave Rave', an EP which finds the Berliner in finest form. This is a package that will satisfy the broadest range of underground house music fans and DJs, with remixes from Darius Syrossian, Russ Yallop, and Kalyde. 'Cave Rave' is classic Sidney, and has been a major not-so-secret weapon in his and AVOTRE label boss Sante's sets for a few months now. An upbeat, rolling groove combines with stabbed synths and an acid bassline, giving the track a peaktime, hands in the air quality that has been a firm staple in Sidney's latest productions. Darius Syrossian and Russ Yallop also appear on the EP, remixing two of Sidney's tracks, 'Housin The Rave' and 'Rumpshaker' respectively, and turning in some highly idiosyncratic and signature work. Darius' remix has all the components that have made him such an underground fixture of late, with a jacking, percussive roll to it. Russ's remix is a more techy, dubby, stripped back affair, sure to satisfy the late night ravers. Bristol based Kalyde is on 'Cave Rave' remix duties, turning the track into un upfront, UK Techno track. This emerging producer has already seen his tracks getting regular airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM, and with such a tough, recognisable sound, it is easy to see this remix being the surprise choice in this package.
